Born and bred in Memphis, Tennessee, Artie Hamlett is a 33-year-old Black man who has made it his life’s mission to leave a lasting impact on his community. Mr. Hamlett’s debut work, The Life and Times of Party Artie, chronicles his adventures, both good and bad, and more importantly, his triumphs. Growing up without his biological parents, Mr. Hamlett quickly learned that the most important part of life is believing in yourself.
Though he has experienced some bumps and bruises along the ride we call life, Mr. Hamlett has consistently maintained a positive attitude, and lives by mantras including “keep growing” and “your purpose is in the struggle”. Since the age of eighteen, Mr. Hamlett has made it a priority to be a beacon of hope in his community and his first charity event was thanksgiving dinner with the Shine in the Dark organization.
Mr. Hamlett, holds a master’s degree in Information Systems from the University of Memphis, as well as a bachelor’s degree in General Studies from the University of Arkansas. He also holds over 26 professional certifications and has been headlined in local media outlets several times for his highly impactful work in the community.
In addition to serving as a mentor, Mr. Hamlett has created and implemented a variety of successful charity events in Memphis, and Pine Bluff Ar most notably, the Stop the Violence Peace Rally and the Thanksgiving Food Drive, which was endorsed by the mayor of Pine Bluff at the time Ms. Debbie Hollingsworth. In addition to his roles in giving back to the community, Mr. Hamlett has served in a variety of leadership roles in the logistics and educational sectors. He is also the founder of Hamlett Logistics, a business dedicated to making special events as seamless as possible.
